Privacy policy

This policy describes Android Mail UKgley, a personal utility operated by the owner of ukgley@gmail.com.

Information accessed and purpose

With the owner's Google authorization, the utility accesses Gmail messages, headers, conversation history, relevant attachments and labels. It uses this information only for requested mailbox review, summaries, deadline tracking, labeling, archiving and directly instructed correspondence.

Storage and processing

OAuth credentials, retrieved mail, review state and change receipts are stored in the owner's local workspace with restricted file permissions. Mail content may be processed through OpenAI Codex to perform the owner's requested assistance, subject to the owner's account configuration and the service's applicable terms. Google provides Gmail and authorization services.

This public information website is hosted by Cloudflare. It does not receive Gmail content or OAuth credentials. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical website request information for delivery and security.

Use and disclosure

The utility does not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or train AI models. Gmail information is processed only for the mailbox assistance requested by the owner and is not made public on this website. Information is shared only with service providers involved in that authorized processing or when separately directed by the owner.

Android Mail UKgley's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and control

Local mail copies and receipts remain until the owner deletes them or requests removal. Revoking Google access stops future access but does not itself remove previously stored local files. Archiving a Gmail message removes it from the inbox and does not delete it. The workflow preserves message read status.

The owner can revoke access in Google Account connections and remove stored data from the local workspace. Questions about this utility can be sent to ukgley@gmail.com.
